Will it work on my Mac?
Shawty runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 15 or later.
Do I need to import my photos?
Open an image or folder directly from your Mac. Shawty makes the other images in that folder available to browse, and leaves your originals untouched.
Which image formats can I open?
JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, WebP, and GIF, plus camera RAW formats supported by your Mac. Animated GIFs play automatically. Other animated formats display a still frame.
What does lifetime access mean?
Pay $4.99 USD for one lifetime license, or $10 USD for three separate licenses. Each license activates one Mac at a time. There is no subscription or renewal fee.
Can I move Shawty to a new Mac?
Yes. Deactivate your old Mac in Shawty Settings or on your purchase page, then use the same key on your new Mac. You can recover your purchase link by email.
Does Shawty need an internet connection?
Activation needs an internet connection. Once activated, Shawty works offline for up to 30 days and refreshes its activation when you reconnect. Your lifetime license does not expire.
Can I make it my default photo viewer?
Yes. Open Settings → File Types to make Shawty the default for your preferred image formats. macOS may ask you to confirm each file type.
